Chip's Speech Toolbox

Meet Chip — a friendly beaver with a toolbox on the creek bank! 🧰 Each card is a speech tool your child can choose to try: a soft start, a light touch, stretchy speech, glide through, or an easy pace. Open a tool card to read what it means, tap to hear it explained, and tap to hear a practice word said slowly. Your child says the word their own way, then taps "I used my tool!" — nothing is graded, no rush. The word stays put until you tap "Next word." Fill Chip's trail with ten reps!

Please note: This is a free fluency-strategy practice tool for therapist- and parent-guided use, not a diagnostic tool or a replacement for therapy. Chip the beaver keeps a toolbox of speech tools on a creek bank; each tool — a soft start, a light touch, stretchy speech, glide through, or an easy pace — is something a child can choose to try. A grown-up models the tool out loud; the sound buttons only say the practice word or explain the tool. The app never records, listens to, times, or evaluates a child's speech, and it never judges how anything sounds — there is no right or wrong way to talk, no score, and no praise or correction of how a word came out. A moment on a word is never treated as a mistake. The glide-through tool is a stuttering-modification strategy that is meant to be practiced with the child's speech helper, and it can be removed entirely. Tapping "I used my tool!" simply logs one try; the device remembers only how many reps were finished (a count, on this device), never anything about the speech itself. These tools are offered as calm choices, never as a fix for how a child talks or for stuttering.
