Speech Practice Game
Detective Dot's Picture Clues
Meet Detective Dot, a puppy who solves picture mysteries! 🐾 The trick she teaches: look at WHO is in the picture first. Listen to the clue and the question together (tap "Hear it again" to replay), point to who is in the picture and count them, then help your child tap the word that finishes the sentence — he, she, or they (or his, her, their for whose it is). Not sure of a word? Tap the little 🔊 on it to hear it. A wrong tap just gets a gentle "look again" — no penalty, and the blank waits for the right word. When it's right, a true sentence appears ("She flies her kite.") — say it out loud together! Solve 10 to close the case.

Please note: This is a free speech-practice game for therapist- and parent-guided use, not a diagnostic tool or a replacement for therapy. The child looks at a picture (who is in it — one boy, one girl, or more than one; and for "whose," who is holding the object) and taps the pronoun that finishes a sentence; when it's right, a true sentence appears ("She flies her kite.") that the child then says out loud — an adult (or the child) taps to log each sentence said. The game never records, listens to, or evaluates your child's speech. Because the answer is itself a pronoun, the spoken clues use only proper names ("This is Ben.") and never contain he, she, they, his, her, or their — the app never speaks or shows the answer as a correction, the blank never fills on a wrong tap, and every word and sentence spoken is hand-authored. The little 🔊 buttons only read a single word aloud and never grade. Every “I said it — out loud!” celebrates saying the sentence, never the accuracy of the speech.
