Speech Practice Game
Cappy's Friendship Pond
Meet Cappy the capybara — the friendliest animal at the pond! 🦫 Listen to what happens, then tap the KIND thing to do. Each choice has a 🔊 button so you can hear it. When you pick the kind thing, a new animal friend walks in to sit by Cappy, and Cappy says the whole sentence — say it out loud together. A wrong tap just gets a gentle "look again" — nothing is marked wrong. Welcome 10 friends for the Pond Party!

Please note: This is a free social-skills practice game for therapist- and parent-guided use, not a diagnostic tool or a replacement for therapy. The child hears a short everyday situation ("Your classmate trips and their backpack spills.") and taps the KIND thing to do from a few short action choices ("Help gather the spilled things."). When they choose the kind action, a new animal friend walks in to sit by Cappy the capybara, and Cappy shows and speaks a whole sentence about why it is kind — and the child says it out loud; an adult (or the child) taps to log each sentence said. The game never records, listens to, or evaluates your child's speech. A wrong tap is gently coached (never named, never shown as an error, never spoken as a correction) — nothing is marked right or wrong, no card is revealed against the child, and the app never narrates or speaks the wrong choice. There is NO per-choice feedback anywhere in the game; every situation, question, choice, and sentence spoken is hand-authored, and the app never assembles a string into speech and never speaks a correction. The situations describe only events — they never name the kind action, and they never ask what someone is thinking or how you feel. The question asks what is KIND to do (knowledge of the expected action), never what you personally would do, so honest answers are never marked wrong. Every "I said it — out loud!" celebrates kind choosing and friendship, never the accuracy of the speech.
