Speech Practice Game
Ella's Yesterday Album
Ella the elephant keeps a scrapbook of yesterdays — an elephant never forgets! Listen to the TODAY sentence and the question together (tap "Hear it again" to replay), talk about what already happened, then help your child tap the word that finishes "Yesterday…". A wrong tap just gets a gentle "listen again" — no penalty, and the blank waits for the right word. When it's right, the photo develops and a true sentence appears ("Yesterday he jumped.") — say it out loud together! Fill the album with 10 photos.

Please note: This is a free speech-practice game for therapist- and parent-guided use, not a diagnostic tool or a replacement for therapy. The child hears a present-tense sentence ("Today he jumps.") and a question, then taps the word that finishes the past-tense frame ("Yesterday he ___."); when it's right, the photo develops and a true sentence appears ("Yesterday he jumped.") that the child then says out loud — an adult (or the child) taps to log each sentence said. The game never records, listens to, or evaluates your child's speech. A wrong tap is gently coached (never named, never shown as an error, never spoken as a correction), the blank never fills on a miss, and every word and sentence spoken is hand-authored — the overregularized practice foils (like "runned") are shown but never voiced. Every “I said it — out loud!” celebrates saying the sentence, never the accuracy of the speech.
