Early Communication
Early communication therapy for late talkers in Henderson & Las Vegas
The earliest communication skills are the foundation for everything that follows. We meet little ones — and their parents — right at the beginning.
At GO Therapy Las Vegas, licensed speech-language pathologists work with toddlers and young children who are late to talk or not yet communicating clearly, in our Henderson clinic or by teletherapy anywhere in Nevada.
What we work on
Early communication is for toddlers and young children who are late to talk or not yet communicating clearly. It can include:
Joint attention
Imitation
Gestures
First words
Requesting & labeling
Play-based communication
Parent coaching
Expanding from single words to phrases
Signs parents notice
Every child starts talking on their own timeline. Parents often reach out when they notice:
- Your child uses few words, or new words are slow to arrive.
- Pointing, waving, or showing you things isn't happening much yet.
- Your child doesn't often copy sounds, words, or actions.
- Your child gets your attention mostly by leading you or crying, rather than with words or gestures.
- Single words aren't yet joining into short phrases.
Noticing one of these doesn't mean something is wrong — every child develops at their own pace. It's simply a good reason to ask, and an evaluation is the clearest way to know.
What therapy looks like at GO Therapy
Starting is simple. Here's how it goes.
- 1
Reach out
Tell us a little about your child. Call us, or start a quick intake online.
- 2
We listen & evaluate
About an hour with you and your child — a standardized assessment, observation through play, a look at medical history, and your own input as the caregiver. From there we'll tell you whether therapy makes sense and, if it does, build an individualized plan. Therapy always starts with an evaluation.

We get to work
Play-based sessions begin — and we guide your family every step of the way.
Early communication sessions look like play, because that's how little ones learn. Parents are a big part of it: your therapist coaches you on simple ways to build communication into everyday routines like meals, bath time, and play.
Sessions happen in our Henderson clinic at 1481 W Warm Springs Rd, Suite 138, Henderson, NV 89014 (open Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm), or by secure video anywhere in Nevada.

What parents say
In their own words, from our Google reviews.
“Go Therapy has changed my family’s entire life. The support and care that Dianne and Julie have for the children is unmatchable — they’re the biggest cheerleaders you can get when it comes to your kid’s speech journey. My son now imitates lots of words, knows his ABC’s and much more, all thanks to Go Therapy and the great staff. Don’t hesitate to call and get an evaluation — it makes a huge difference in your child’s life!”
Jordan CrowleyGoogle review “We are so lucky to have had Go Therapy as a resource for our son’s speech delay. He was with Ms. Dianne for 2 years. We were scared at first but she gave us so much hope! We now have so much confidence in our son with his language. I highly recommend them. The communication was always open and they’re flexible. If I could give them a million stars I would!”

Questions about late talkers
- Should we wait and see if our toddler starts talking?
- Every child develops at their own pace, but you don't have to wait to ask a question. An evaluation can tell you whether therapy makes sense right now — and if it doesn't, you'll leave with a clearer picture and ideas to try at home.
- How are parents involved?
- A lot. Young children learn to communicate through the people they spend the most time with, so parent coaching is part of early communication therapy. Your therapist will show you simple ways to practice during everyday moments.
- What happens at the first visit?
- About an hour with you and your child — a standardized assessment, observation through play, a look at medical history, and your own input as the caregiver. From there we'll tell you whether therapy makes sense and, if it does, build an individualized plan. Therapy always starts with an evaluation.
- Can we do teletherapy instead of coming in?
- Yes. Your child can meet a licensed GO Therapy speech-language pathologist by secure video from anywhere in Nevada. We don't do home, daycare, or school visits — teletherapy is our flexible alternative.
