Fluency
Stuttering & fluency therapy for kids in Henderson & Las Vegas
Fluency is the flow of speech. We support children who stutter or clutter to communicate with more ease and confidence.
At GO Therapy Las Vegas, licensed speech-language pathologists offer fluency therapy in our Henderson clinic or by teletherapy anywhere in Nevada.
What we work on
Fluency is how smoothly a child speaks. Therapy can address:
Stuttering
Repetitions, blocks, prolongations, tension, or avoidance.
Cluttering
Speech that may sound too fast, disorganized, or hard to follow.
Signs parents notice
Many young children go through bumpy stretches of speech while their language is growing quickly. Parents often reach out when they notice:
- Repeating sounds, syllables, or words — “b-b-ball” or “I-I-I want.”
- Stretching out sounds, or getting “stuck” with no sound coming out.
- Visible tension or effort while talking.
- Your child avoids certain words, or avoids talking in some situations.
- Speech that sounds very fast or jumbled and is hard to follow.
Noticing one of these doesn't mean something is wrong — every child develops at their own pace. It's simply a good reason to ask, and an evaluation is the clearest way to know.
What therapy looks like at GO Therapy
Starting is simple. Here's how it goes.
- 1
Reach out
Tell us a little about your child. Call us, or start a quick intake online.
- 2
We listen & evaluate
About an hour with you and your child — a standardized assessment, observation through play, a look at medical history, and your own input as the caregiver. From there we'll tell you whether therapy makes sense and, if it does, build an individualized plan. Therapy always starts with an evaluation.
- 3
We get to work
Play-based sessions begin — and we guide your family every step of the way.
Fluency sessions are calm and encouraging. Depending on your child, that may mean practicing easy, relaxed speech through games, building confidence in everyday speaking situations, and helping your family know how to respond and support them at home.
Sessions happen in our Henderson clinic at 1481 W Warm Springs Rd, Suite 138, Henderson, NV 89014 (open Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm), or by secure video anywhere in Nevada.

Questions about stuttering & fluency therapy
- What's the difference between stuttering and cluttering?
- Stuttering can include repetitions, blocks, prolongations, tension, or avoidance. Cluttering is speech that may sound too fast, disorganized, or hard to follow. Some children show signs of both. An evaluation helps sort out what's going on and what kind of support fits.
- How can our family support a child who stutters?
- Families play a big part. Your therapist will talk with you about what's happening in your child's speech and share simple ways to support them at home, so practice doesn't stop when the session ends.
- What happens at the first visit?
- About an hour with you and your child — a standardized assessment, observation through play, a look at medical history, and your own input as the caregiver. From there we'll tell you whether therapy makes sense and, if it does, build an individualized plan. Therapy always starts with an evaluation.
- Can we do teletherapy instead of coming in?
- Yes. Your child can meet a licensed GO Therapy speech-language pathologist by secure video from anywhere in Nevada. We don't do home, daycare, or school visits — teletherapy is our flexible alternative.
